God's Precious Word
For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. 2 Peter 1:4
How precious to us is the Word of God! For in it are the promises of God! Promises that encourage our hearts and gives us hope, the greatest of hope!
Our hearts desire is a change of heart. A purifying of our nature, our will, our motives, our thoughts, and the intentions and the un-mentions of our hearts.
We seek to be clean… to be pure… to be righteous! Not the righteousness of this world. Not our own righteousness. We seek after, we long after such a change to occur within our hearts that is heavenly, that is from God, and that never passes away.
We see everyday that the world is rolling towards its own destruction. Sin’s corruption blurs righteousness-line until ‘evil is called good and good and is called evil’ Isaiah 5:20. Our hearts are saddened and sickened by the depravity that is the world we currently live in…
The world’s direction is not ours as we place our hope, desires, and trust in our Heavenly Father. We need… so badly to enrich our hearts and minds with God’s Word… we need God’s Word in our lives to counter the evil of this world!
O that knowing God’s Word were our hearts ultimate desire!
