Prepare the Lord's Way

“Prepare the way for the Lord." Matthew 3:2 Is 40:3

John the Baptist preached this in the wilderness, “Prepare the way for the Lord, make his paths straight.” For he prepared the people’s heart prior to the Lord Jesus Christ’s arrival, the people’s heart needed to be prepared.

The same is true today. Our hearts and the people around; all of our hearts need to be ready for Christ’s return. For he is coming. Christ will return. Prepare therefore our hearts for your return Dear Lord! “Make our paths straight”; Father clean up our lives, straighten the crooked areas of our hearts so that we are your people and so that you are our God.

The world around us is in a whirl-wind, with every news account we hear of more death, more destruction, and more fighting. The world is ever slowly falling apart around us. In seeing the world’s condition how so much more should we be ready, be prepared, by anxious for Christ’s return!

Heavenly Father, prepare our hearts and lives for your return. Help to be bold and preach and teach and witness your Word to a dying world, and evil world. Guide our hearts along this pathway that you’ve set our hearts on and as always our praise and glory will be to you!
