Why Have a Devotional?

Why have a devotional? A devotional reminds our hearts of whom we love and the following:

“If you devote your heart to him and stretch out your hands to him… then you will up your face without shame; you will stand firm and with fear. … You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety".1

"Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles".2

"My eyes are fixed on you, O Sovereign LORD; in you I take refuge".3

"Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength".4

"Guard my life, for I am devoted to you. You are my God; save your servant who trusts in you".5

"For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those who hearts and fully committed to him".6
