'Man Shall Not Live on Bread Alone'

“But He answered and said, "It is written, ' MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.'" Matthew 4:4; Deut 8:3.

The most important thing in the morning and throughout our day is to take in God’s Word; it’s more important even than breakfast… then lunch, or dinner – for God’s message to us truly is our bread and our life.

What Jesus told the Devil was that God’s Word was primary and that His life revolved around it. That He considered hearing from God more important than the burning-grumblings of his stomach.

How different is Christ view than mine…
