Honor to whom honor...

"Render to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor". Romans 13:7

The other day an e-mail came across my screen that prompted, in a moment, a flashback of memories. Most of these memories, not even my own, but of my brother Clyde, and my step-Dad Herb and their service to our country during World War II. These men, not knowing each other at the time, served the U.S. Navy—one in the Atlantic and one in the Pacific.

While my Dad was alive, I never publicly honored him for the courage and sacrifice that he gave as a Seabee in the Atlantic. I do not wish to make the same mistake with my elder brother—so the following is in honor of him and of the untold millions who served and continued to do so with honor.
