The Joy of Your Salvation...

“Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and sustain me with a willing spirit.” Psalm 51:12
One of the most unseen and yet deadly adversaries against many Christians today is not the world, its temptations, or its pleasures… it is their attitude and their lack of understanding of Christ’s teachings.

Way too many believers are hung-up on themselves. They pass the day thinking about how sinful they are… or worrying about ‘straying into sin.’ All this when around them unbelievers are secretly desiring to see the joy, the peace, the contentment, and at least a little bit of Jesus in their lives.

The problem is focus… are a lack thereof. Christian, God’s Word encourages us to get our eyes off of ourselves and on Christ. Recall the joy of your salvation, the insatiable appetite of His Word, the love of… well everybody… and live today in that faith. Our glorious salvation is found in faith in Jesus Christ! Not in a method, a church, works that we do… or any righteousness that we ‘think’ that we possess… remember… Romans 3:10?

We all have problems. We all have sin, of some sort, in our lives. That is one of the reasons for prayer… to ask God to forgive you… while forgiving yourselves… Receive Christ’s forgiveness with joy, then go out, and tell somebody about what He’s done in your life… do the Great Commission…

Where does your strength come from? Psalm 18:1 & Nehemiah 8:10

Father, thank you for this life! Lord, you are our joy and strength; teach us to love others as you love us.
