End of Long Day

At the end of a long day
I look back on this day
And wonder...

Have I calmed
The trembling shoulders
Of a troubled soul...
Brought laughter
To a saddened heart...
Shown compassion
To the guilty-ridden...

Listened...
To the unimaginable
Suffering human heart

Have I shared tears
With those in grief Stricken with loss...

On this day
Have I cared enough...

Thought enough...

Loved enough...

To unselfishly consider...

The hearts
The lives
Around me...

I look back
On this day
And wonder...

Heavenly Father, help me, help us to never forget those who are suffering around us. Caring for them is more important than doing...
