The Lord Weighs the Hearts

“Every man's way is right in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the hearts.” Proverbs 21:2

Reflection is good for the heart, the soul. King Saul never did this… David continually reflected on his heart in comparison to the Word of God brought to him. How often do we not do this… how very often am I also guilty.

Have you ever been amazed at your own heart? There’ something there that desires to do good and there’s this other desire that seeks to do evil? You know, God knows. He knows your heart and mine; he knows what we are hiding; he’s weighing our hearts…

It is not the outward appearance that appeals to God, it is the heart… how different are His ways from ours; from the world’s?!

Is your heart right with God this morning?

Are you a King Saul or a King David, do you trust in yourself or in God’s Word?

Do you use reflection in your life?

Heavenly Father, this morning we come to you in worship, in honor, in awe… Your Spirit speaks to our hearts and shows us our great need for you!
